A look at what’s happening in the international dance community
Emma Morris
It's March of 2021 and we’ve been in a pandemic for nearly a year now. The one shining light that has come out of this mess is easy access to internationally acclaimed performances by companies and choreographers across the globe. We can now watch Nederlands Dans Theater’s live streams from our living room for less than $20 while choreographers like Kyle Abraham, Andrea Gallim, Jacob Jonas, and Alice Klock (of Flock) are releasing dance films on Instagram. Many companies have created their own streaming platforms so fans can view past works and world premieres. What in the World will be a monthly review of what’s going on in the international dance community, attempting to cover the wide variety of work being produced. Each edition will feature a look at what I’m watching and what I can’t wait to watch.
